[Cumulus] Mio C230

Hello.  I just found your site.  What a great project!  I'm not into  
soaring (yet) but I am working towards my private pilot license, in  
the Montreal area (Canada).  So I'm interested in getting a GPS for  
general aviation.  The Garmin aviation GPS's are out of my price  
range, so I'm thinking of getting a Mio C230 ($150 here in Canada) and  
hacking it to run Cumulus (hacking instructions can be found here: http://www.kombitz.com/2007/10/31/how-to-unlock-mio-c230/) 
.  Apparently the C230 runs a version of Windows, and can probably run  
QT.

So here are my questions:

1) has anyone tried something like this?
2) do you see any obvious problems I might encounter?
