The Maproom
Welcome to the maproom of the KFLog project. Here, you can find maps to use with KFLog and Cumulus. We provide map files for the entire world, 1.8 GB in total!
If you need a big portion of the map, you will need to download a lot of data. If you don't want to download the map, you can contact us for a CD. Please tell us the area you want to get on CD.
Aeronautical data
The KFLog project distinguishes between two types of aeronautical maps: airspace structures on the one hand and airport/airfield data on the other hand.
Ground and terrain data
These files contain the shoreline (the "ground-files"), the contourlines of the terrain (the "terrain-files") and all roads, railways, cities, rivers, etc (the "extra-files"). While the shoreline and the rivers, ... are taken from the DCW (digital chart of the world), the terraindata is taken from the GTOPO30-data to provide a more detailed contour. These maps are devided into 2° x 2° sections and span the entire world.
We recommend to use at least the ground-file, because otherwise you will get no land at all.
