Packages for the Nokia Internet Tablets carry the extension .deb. They are made for the Nokia Internet Tablets N800/N810 running Maemo OS2008 or N900 running Maemo OS2009 and can be installed at the Nokia Internet Tablets by using the program manager.
Language packages are not target dependent.
